Bambi Banys, MSN, CPNP-PC

Welcome to Bravo Pediatrics

I’m a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of experience caring for children and families. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College, and my clinical experience includes pediatric primary and urgent care, as well as caring for children with complex medical conditions.

I spent more than a decade in pediatric cardiology at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, where I cared for children and adults with congenital heart disease and served as coordinator of the Single Ventricle Program. Earlier in my career, I practiced pediatric primary and urgent care with the San Francisco Department of Public Health and founded a concierge newborn and postpartum care practice in Silicon Valley.

Throughout my career, I’ve also had the opportunity to teach and mentor the next generation of nurses and healthcare providers, including teaching at Boston College, Samuel Merritt University, and San José State University.

I believe excellent pediatric care combines evidence-based medicine with truly getting to know each child and family. I take a thoughtful, collaborative approach to care and enjoy partnering with parents to support their children’s health and development.

On a Personal Note

My family and I chose to make San Luis Obispo our home and raise our children here. We were drawn to the outdoors, community, and quality of life. After more than a decade in SLO, I’m excited to continue caring for and serving the community that is home to our family.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy mountain biking, weightlifting, and traveling. I’m also a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and I enjoy the challenge, discipline, and community that come with the sport.
