Welcome to Bravo Pediatrics

My impetus to return to medicine was initiated by my own children and community.  After college, I worked and lived in a small town on Hawaii, both in a pediatric office and in homes as a labor/postpartum assistant. While working in the field, I witnessed firsthand the vast and critical need for health care providers, which fueled my decision to attend Yale University for further medical training. After completing Yale Medical School’s Physician Associate Program, I  worked in Emergency Care and Acute Care settings here in SLO and Arroyo Grande. I’m so thrilled to have come full circle to care for our most adorable community members --your children-- by joining this exceptional team of doctors at Bravo Pediatrics!

Children are precious to us as parents and healthcare providers. My goal is to come alongside parents to help raise healthy and whole young women and men. Parenting starts with some of the most cherished moments and lends itself to the reality ahead as we as a parent are tasked to keep this child safe, healthy and happy. I hope to speak into the lives of families during those times of concern for their child’s health and well-being through open communication, active listening, and evidence-based medicine.

I appreciate the value of integrative practices that contribute to the health of your whole child. I see my role of treating and caring for your child as one component of this integrative team.

On a Personal Note

I am married to a wonderful man and life partner. We both attended Cal Poly, where I received my B.S. in Biochemistry and M.S. in Cell Biology before returning to graduate school to earn my M.S. and certificate as a Physician Associate from Yale. We are blessed to have three loving and adventurous boys. While my first son was seen here by Dr. Bravo during his first months of life, the other two were born on the Big Island of Hawaii, where we chose to homestead some property while the boys ran around chasing geckos, eating coconut meat, and exploring the big blue ocean! Finally, we have returned to our first home here in SLO, which has forever pulled at our heartstrings. The biking trails, waves, hikes, and people have welcomed us back and we are excited to build our next adventure here with our growing young men while investing into this community.

Thank you for trusting me with your most precious.
